If you had been crashing the same place we were there's no way in hell I would've let you miss skiing that day. You would've gone off.
I heard you guys couldn't see, and that snow was going down your neck and stuff. What if you lose a ski in that stuff? Sounds pretty reckless to me.Originally Posted by meatdrink9

Bummer to miss a pow day ‘cause one can’t hole their liquor, was this your first time consuming strong drink? Back to the subject at hand, the storm in northern pacific is going to bust up the high hovering over CA and the PNW and deliver snow from Kirkwood to Keystone. However, if you’re not willing to share, I hope the southern storm brings you rain.

I missed that Sunday so I didn't have to drive from SLC to Colorado in snow the whole way after driving 1800 miles in the previous few days. Might help to know that I almost was fired from my job for doing the same thing during the Brighton opener. Was a responsible choice that was not easy to make.

RB? Beuller?
Enjoy your 2-4" (or maybe you'll get lucky and make it to a whole foot!) at Summit County and Vail (is there anything steep enought at Vail to ski 12" of new snow?)
THE MAIN STORM OF INTEREST IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE TAHOE REGION WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY. HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE SIERRA AND WESTERN NEVADA BY EARLY THURSDAY MORNING WHICH MAY CAUSE TRAVEL PROBLEMS... ESPECIALLY OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES. ANOTHER WINTER STORM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE REGION SUNDAY. SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF SEVERAL FEET ARE POSSIBLE IN THE SIERRA WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THE NEW YEARS DAY WEEKEND WITH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ALSO LIKELY IN THE VALLEYS OF WESTERN NEVADA AND NORTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA....
Today is Monday, right?
You may be the new jinx-goat.......Thanks!

I hope you're wrong, but I've been watching this thing for days and analyzing the forecast models, and it seems like a pretty sure shot at this point. The slincher is that instead of throwing the usual 500 person NYE party my roommate and I do in Squaw, we're having a replacement party elsewhere Friday night. So that pretty much guarantees that Saturday will be all-time, since we'll be too hungover to ski anyway.
