    Thumbs up Brighton report 11-7-03

Well it was the BEST opener I've been to in many years. Blue Bird, lots of lift accessed pow, no lines, 2 fast quad lifts, many maggots. They opened Crest at 9:00 and gave us access to pow. No pow pics, cause nobody waits for the shooter to set up on pow days. Groomers were hard, but not bad. Maggots I saw were Meats, flykdog, Altachic, Xover, Frozen Water, Altard, Striaghtline, Jay Frizzo, and Altatude. Others were there, but I missed them. Here's a couple of pics...

Jason on the mailbox. Made it look easy.

Brighton is to be praised for getting there operation open so soon. Well worth the $35 pass.

Sweet. Glad to see a couple of recently injured maggots out there getting some.

Frizzo, that wrist looks a little limp.

Looks like a great opening for the Utards! Wish I was out there to enjoy the natural stuff. We'll be hitting the EC opening on Tuesday at Killy but it won't be anything like SLC. All in all, we'll all be sliding soon.

So when is Frizzo going to break out the skis and crossover to the darker side????

Nice. I'm living vicariously through you all.

GT, I'm glad to see you're over the wives leaving you . We told you you'd forget about them once you got back on snow

I missed your 8:45am meeting time b/c the people I was with were running late, but we had a good day too, I was pleasantly surprised by the coverage and how smooth things were running.
It would have been nice to see everyone, hopefully next time...

Also, for me, that was my last day on my old Bandit X's (circa 1999), my new Atomic TM; EX's get here on Tuesday, and as soon as I can get the Diamir's mounted...mmmmmmmmmm.

Good times were had on Friday. Glad Brighton decided to open Crest Express, some good snow was found off that lift. Stoked to see Xover, Frozenwater, and Altard at the top of Crest and watch 'em rip the bumps in one of the bowls like nobody's business. Sorry I didn't see other maggots, but it looks like everyone had a great time.

Anyone want to hit up Brighton again this week? I can go any day. I managed to get a Ski Utah Silver pass this year so I get 30 days at each Utah resort.

    Damn you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just kidding,... You guys are getting me so amped to get back to Utah next week!
I leave Vermont Tuesday and should arrive with In my Ranger (half of it has Vermont Beer in it to last me the winter, 'cause utah beer is not nearly as good) by Thursday night the 13th. I'll see ya guys soon enough, now I just gotta drive through the damn boring, flat redneck midwestern USA.

Don't worry Altaholic, I am taking one for the team next week/end. I will be out of town from thurs. through sun. Going to be going back to that flat redneck midwest part of the states. Although, I do take issue with calling all of the midwest redneck.

Sorry I missed it, I'm sure my presence wasn't missed too badly though. Except for the fact that I couldn't get a hold of frizzo to let him know I wasn't picking him up. Sorry again. Anyway, just couldn't let go of the $35, hiked at alta instead, was still good.
