We only skied one day together, the only day I've ever skied Aspen, but his way was one I never forgot, overall great human being. RIP

RIP. I never met him but his love of skiing was obvious. To every one who knew him I'm sorry and please seek peace in the fact that he was a great person and will be missed by those who never met him.

Seems to be a close knight community of locals in the Aspen area. Vibes to everyone affected by this shitty situation.

Vail Daily has a story with more information. Not much about the man, but more about the situation:

Having just lost my brother-in-law last week to an avalanche here in UT, my heart breaks for his family and close friends. Thoughts and prayers go out to them, and to all the mags who knew him well.

Never knew him, but enjoyed his pics for years, and his excitement for skiing was infectious, even over the tubes.

    RIP

One of the nicest souls to walk/ski this Earth. I've seen a number of these threads, but you never realize how heavy it is until it hits home.
