    AK Speedflying Avalanche

This guy got about as upclose and personal with an avalanche as you can get without being buried/caught.

Yeah, seems like good clean fun but the that would end quick when you run out of slope and drop into the the still-moving avalanche at the bottom, tangled in cords with the chute full of snow and dragging you down...

Ahh....Turnagain Pass.....know it well. Probably the most EASILY accesible decent pass in all of Ak....and sure as hell the most crowded on winter weekends....worse than Hatcher!!

But a beautiful pass with great terrain that almost never lacks the deep stuff.

I just NEVER go there weekends, 'cause the place is literally BUZZING with snowmachines of every description. Wednesday/Thursday is the time to head to the Turn, as by then, the damn snowmachine tracks are filled.

    Nice viddy, by the way!!

I missed this the first time around...must be some pretty funky winds coming of a slide.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...
