    No-Snow whining thread

Okay, so when's it going to snow? I'm sick of waiting. I don't give a rat's ass if it's only December. When the FUK is it going to snow-- I mean really SNOW-- around here??? I even got the hell out of here and it didn't dump. What do we have to do for an EC storm?

When I went to bed it was snowing. All the local news reports had people panicking. Mob rule was in order at Home Depots across Eagle and Sixer country. I woke up this morning, and I didn't even need to brush off my windsheild.

Kirkwood is a little firm, think Boyne Mountain in good conditions… not shit, but not what you expect from “the deepest snowpack in North America™”. The storm door will swing open December 30th and pound the Sierra with an epic New Year’s dump. On January 2nd, Kirkwood will open Chair 10 for the first time in 2005.

Well this morning, central WI got about 1/4 inch of some rimy/graupelly stuff... I guess it was slick because one of my professors was 45 min late for the final I was supposed to take.

Was at Crystal yesterday and I can't believe that they are even open. I talked to the owner and he said that there was more snow in October. It was skiing, it was sloppy and rocky...but this is ridiculous. I would bring the bike back out and put the skis up but for the fact that I just paid my Red Mtn comp entry fee...that should be fun. I guess on the bright side, NOBODY is getting snow right now, so we can all whine together.

SNOW DAMN IT! Mid mtn. bases are averaging around 30" here in CO. Looks like we might get a little this week, but nothing huge or even that significant.

    Yes what the FUCK!!!
I even took extra time off this week told the family that I can't make it up to Portland due to my planed storm chasing this year.
Well it was 58 or so yesteray in Fort Collins got out for a nice bike ride and have almost given up on skiing this X-mas week.
If the storms ever show their face I am ready to hit the road and do some chasing.
I just talked to my boss and told him That I will be at work on Thursday due to lack of snow.

I was attempting to be ladylike, but who am I trying to kid? Fuckity fuck fuck FUCK! I want snow...especially now that my new Darksides have arrived (a bittersweet joy b/c I want to ride them now!!).

Any weather bugs out there that can give us some hope? I'm going north in the middle of next week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh, and it was snowing when I left UT...hope they got a nice frosting out there!

Bozeman representing with some icy moguls and flat light. The radness factor is getting really high around here with the lack of snow.

Assholes driving SUV's in Bucks County? No, really

Getting out of the Oxford Valley Mall was hell today. I need a grenade launcher on my car.

EDIT: Single digit temps + 0 snow in sight=

I know you aren't complaining and neither am I. though not powder this weekend was pretty good. good coverage, the entire mountain open and with the cold temps some pretty good chalky snow to ski. the snow is sorta like CO, although the coverage and having the whole mountain open is definitely CA.

I don't think that was snow. I think it was frozen smog

the 15k classic race we had yesterday was basically on 6 inches of slush and ice and mud, we had to klister up and that was way shitty. Some of the uphills were 8 inches of slush on top of ice and rocks, god that blew. Once again it'll be a week of skiing on rock skis, FKNA when is it gonna snow? I mean we can't even get all the way down north face yet

Might I point out that at altitude there is a ton of snow! and this has been one of the best years for pow yet

Got out of school this afternoon and for the first time this year it looked like a blizzard outside. We only got three inches but it still felt good to see the snow fallng again. I just hope that some of the storm hit NH. I need a good christmas present.

It snowed here yesterday and I work on a ski resort but I can't ski because I tore a ligament. So frustrating. (There's snow but I can't ski it anyway whining.)

It's okay, Redskea - the lifts were closed for wind anyway.
How's that for a kick in the ass - we've got snow, it was dumping yesterday and we had ended up leaving the hill early because the winds were at 120km/h up top.

Enough snow this morning to add a half hour to my KMart drive, but just a few inches there. Jezuz lordy it was cold. We bitched about the gondola recently, but it was the only lift you could use without crying for mommy. I even broke down for those Marmot mittens afterwards - my fingers are stinging typing this. And, hahaha, God is cruel, they are talking about 50 degree rain on Thursday.
