    Billabong XXL nominations

Is this more of my "slacktivist advertising" or something that surfers on a surfing forum might actually find interesting? you decide... or we'll just let Hugh chime in with some colorful commentary about how everyone is a sellout.

I'm getting in all of my "slacktivist advertising" before Hugh gets home from his day job and sits down infront of his computer to begin his nightly "keepin it real" session.

    That was some great footy.
The Tasmania wave was thick and heavy, but certianly not large.

^^ Never mind, that was ride of the year , not largest wave of the year. That makes sense.
    Here is largest:

Cool to see that its not all about tow anymore. Shane has had some pretty epic paddle in waves at Jaws this year surprised he hasn't been nominated. Its just more intense to watch them drop off the lip while their board is spinning out just fighting to stay on instead of getting towed in and stalling the board up till getting in the deepest section.

though it would likely mean certain death, if i absoluetly HAD to pick a wave to drop into, i think my chances of survival on a "tall" wave like jaws, is slighlty better than getting obliterated by a shipsterns/chopes/cyclops type wave.

i believe power and consequence should be involved in evaluating the gnar of any wave.

Thanks for posting. That airdrop in the tube was nuts.

I didn't edit these, so that's good. secondly, it's not an editing contest. it's a big wave contest. thirdly, what exactly are your editing qualifications again?

I'd welcome it if you came down to the bathhouse and shared your extensive blowjob experience in the form of heckling
