Which avy gear setup to go for?

    Herro...

I was wondering what you guys would do.. I kind of want to pay my money to the hire shop and support them but sport conrad do good deals.. and I get paid fuck all as a ski rep but.. was wondering whether you would go for:

    Setup A:

    Ortovox 3+
    Black Diamond Lynx Shovel
    Stubai 210cm probe

    €305 (429USD)

    or

    Setup B:

    Ortovox D3
Ortovox Shovel & Probe (both aluminium)

    €325 (457USD)

I've used the D3 half a dozen times before but have never held the 3+.. so the question is really surrounding which tranciever is worth the money.

    Any feedback would be appreciated..

    Either/or

    If $$ isn't critical 3+.

However go for a longer (3 meter probe) and make sure it is durable.

    Don't fret over ounces.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
