Anyone for New Year's in Whistler?

Anyone wanna go in a place for New Year's eve? Thinking, the parties will be pretty damn good. And I have heard they have some good skiing up there.

I might consider, but I've heard it's pretty crazy $$$$ to do anything - might prefer the party in Bellingham/Glacier, but would be down for a Whistler trip between Christmas and New Years - in town from the 26th to the 3rd

I spent last years xmas and new years and beyond in Whistler.

Xmas is pretty busy, but the village is beautiful and a great atmosphere.

New years in the village is expensive, we went to a house party in Emerald which was massive and fantastic.

New years day, there is no one on the hill so don't sleeep and go straight out skiing.
Avoid employing unlucky people - throw half of the pile of resume's in the bin without reading them.

I won't be up there for New Years, but I will be up there the 2nd to the 5th to ski. Assuming there's snow. That doesn't resemble glacial ice.
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.

Slim chance, but possible I'll be up there for New Year's. I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday the 4th.

Heh... if there's snow, count me in as a definite maybe. Although Glacier New Years rarely disappoint and are a whole lot closer and cheaper.
Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.

Pending on snow, I'm down for New Year's in Whistler or possibly interior BC (Red/Whitewater/Fernie/KH). B'ham also sounds like a good option.

edit- 'pending on snow' meaning I'm gonna f'n ski that weekend and plan to go where the snow is, since we don't have any in the central cascades

I think every PNW post starts with "Assuming there's snow...."

What is the party in Glacier? What's going on there? Besides B'ham drunks

Well, since all of that occurred at my cabin last new years, and the cabin is now the unofficial day-care center of Glacier, I'm afraid that won't be happening again... But we can always find somebody else's place to trash!

    H20? Red? Fernie?

    ^deeedump^

If it weather forecast doesn't look so good for WA Cascades, have car, will travel.

Found some great deals out in Rossland, Nelson, and Fernie.
Could put together a searching for snow PNW maggot trip
