    Cheap sources of glucosamine/chondroitin?

Anyone know anywhere to buy cheap quantities of this stuff? My old arthritic knees need all the help they can get. Also, what brand/dosage/ingredients are best?

    Thanks!

Have you checked out Sam's Club or Costco? They usually carry their own brand and at least one "name" brand. I think it was around $18 for a 200 pill (1500mg a pill I think?) bottle for Costco's house brand the last time I got it*.

*(I could be way off on all numbers because honestly I just wasn't paying attention. Sorry. Warehouse clubs are good places to get it though.)
As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

I've been using a glucosamine/chondroitin/msm combo product from GNC called TriFlex. It's kinda pricey though and only got it because I happened to be walking right outside the store. I haven't done my research to find cheaper options.

Here's a link to a it that describes dosages and what not. You take it 3 x a day with meals:

At www.steroidology.com there is a message board with a "Supplement" forum...the folks there might have some sources. (I'm sure they have sources for just about anything else you'd want too...heh).

I use the MoveFree brand since it was recommended by my doc. All I know is its a lot cheaper at WalMart and Target (which I rarely go to) than at the grocery store (where I go 2-3x a week). A lot cheaper, as in half price.

I've been using Schiff brand in a powder form for about 2 years. I last bought it at Costco online. (The Costcos here in Salt Lake quit stocking it for some reason.) It was on sale for something like $18 a container. I like it because it's easy to take (I dump one scoop of it in my oatmeal, my wife puts it in hot tea)
I use to take one or two of the tablets (500mb) a day, thinking some was better than nothing. My doctor told me that less than 1500mg a day was a waste of time.
    Good luck!

Puritan's Pride has a buy 2 get 3 free sale. I buy lots of it off the net. Best prices I've seen anywhere.

I've taken it for 7 years and it really helps.
I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

Really? Sounds exactly like me, guess I better start taking the full dosage.

Trader Joe's has excellent supplement deals. Check it out if there's one near you.

I am all about the Joint Connection. It is an effervecent Gluc/Condroit/MSM...supposedly really good absorbtion.

    I found it on http://www.outletnutrition.com/

$35 for 45 days worth....a lot cheaper than my gym's price.

If you've never used the stuff then buy a little at first to ask whether or not it works for you. Condroitin sulfate and glucosamine typically works in about 60% of the folks who try it. Good luck.

I just got some at GNC, their brand. glucosamine 750, chondroitin 600.
120 tablets. $33.99, second bottle half price. Also, I buy a discount card annually and get 20% off during the first week of each month. So it was around $40+tax for 240 tabs. I take 2/day.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!
