Butt Sexpic ( if you're not in the padded room forum this may sound weird) test:

    By the holy Jer..it works.

Before the Engelberg day I had a last solo tree skiing day at place X 10 days ago.

and before that, when the forum System collapsed eatly/mid April, andermatt was good too.Click image for larger version.

    80cm powder in central Switzerland

We received around 80cm of powder two weeks ago in Central Switzerland, too. Between Andermatt and Engelberg there have been proper powder conditions for couple days. Sadly last week it was all cooked by heat and wind, but we were able to manage two days on the Krönten (alpine skitour) with the local mountain guides Bureau Exped Tribe close to Andermatt. I´d recommend the tour if you´re into powder-steep-fast!
    Pray for snow!

Cheers. It’s an incredible place - a huge cauldron surrounded by 4500m peaks and hanging glaciers

Epic corn up north! Needed to walk only 150 vertical to reach snowline. About 1100 vertical meters of awesomeness.

    Hey guys!
One of my really good buddies here has a globe trotting son, who's a great kid. Well 26 yrs old, so perhaps young man is the term.. anyway, he's educated (Enviro engineer) and a talented athlete. He's also dating sam smoothy's ex so I give him high marks. He's considering living at a euro resort this winter and potentially working (he's not fussy). Now I've skied at quite a few, but to be honest, the place I'm thinking for him is Arolla, CH.

He's looking for something unique, not super ritzy/flashy... Anyway, what you got euro friends?
Another thought I just had was maybe the Andermatt area... He's also bilingual (french/canuckistanian).
Edit to add, he's open to weirder suggestions like Georgia or IT or ESP as well

Arolla is a good base for the Spring touring season but is a small place and will be pretty quiet outside that so depends if he thinks that’s a good thing or not. Andermatt has the Gemstock if he’s a Freerider and connects to a much bigger area but is not French speaking. Val d’Anniviers (on the Magic Pass, like Arolla) would offer a bigger and more varied ski area although I’d still think it a bit limited for a season unless he has a car. The obvious French speaking places if he’s looking for high quality terrain and to meet people would be Chamonix, Verbier or La Grave / Serre Chevalier. They are popular for good reason. Spain (Andorra), snow record is too spotty. For Italy, a base in the Aosta valley offers quite a lot of good options (need a car). Georgia is great when it’s on but very remote and not somewhere I’d want to spend a season

If he really has to work, check 3 valles or tignes/val disere. Massive terrain, no bro bra scene to compete for tracks. Loads of tourist stuff to work.

    Downside: ugly and tourons.

Life AND skiing: I'd go magic pass area. Although working IN the area doesn't give you more than zinal and switz could be complicated? I don't know though. Edit: G3000 could work Aa well as a place for work and ski inside the magic area.

French pyrenees don't get snow like ever [emoji6]
Out of the way places in inner Isere or hautes alpes like la norma have similar diwnsides like magic pass.

will it be easy for him to get a work visa? I can't speak for CH but can for France. Tignes would be a good shout. There's the odd Baz about but plenty of students visiting to get stuck in to. plenty of seasonaires his age to get stuck in to. Snows regularly, good terrain not mega expensive and a hood sized village where he wouldn't have to go down the valley. A bit of a gem in Ste Foy for a change of vibe no far away

Don't hate on the Baz just because he's a candidate for Reform UK with a holiday homeyou can't afford.

If Farage and him stop those migrants ( for the second time now?), you'll be thankful.

Edit and we don't talk about St. Foy or la norma. They don't exist.

    es tut mir leid.
Hot off the press..... Ste Foy has had a influx of migrants. They're sabotaging the lifts. In hope of killing and destroying all non coloured people especially ski school ages kids.
Ive also heard the germans are flooding in there as well, with their Nazi attitudes and putting their skis in the lift line the night before to claim 1st lift on powder day. Lots of gays and trannies touching you in the lift line on top of all that.
Baz says don't travel past Bourg or you'll die or get bummed

Gay German Nazis touching you in the lift line are a big Problem in nearly all of the lesser known resorts.

If I were Baz I'd Stick to verbier to stay clear of them.

They call themselves "Gebirgspanzerdivision Hintertür"and they have comic books for your kids to make them gay and hate the fox hunt..

I actually know a guy who's friends with the Baz. He was in a smaller resort, His braces to his bibs some how malfunctioned. They slipped down to his knee's, unfortunately that morning he'd forgotten to put his underwear on.. Before he knew what was happening a very queer domineering looking guy with a Hitler tash appeared from nowhere. I dont want to say anymore it's pure debauchery. This was in front of his wife and grand children. Stay safe out there guys. It could happen in a small ski resort on a powder day near you

La Grave is the only correct answer.

There are definitely proper jobs in the restaurants and hotels, often with evening-only shift patterns.

The bro culture is really not too pervasive compared to places like Verbier and Cham.

The key advantages of La Grave over anywhere else in the Alps are:
    - An intimate and funky community where you know everyone
    - Cheap (rent normally no more than 500 euros per month, and no flashy restaurants / clubs to waste money in)
    - The best skiing you can find (provided you have sufficient mountain skills and spend enough time there to know where to go)
