Litt, thanks for the update. I was with Idris the day before and it was indeed awesome. I was talking more about what the last two days have brought, which as you said involved high freezing levels and winds.

But it's snowing again in town here - got a lot of rain/snow last night - so it seems it could be nice again for whenever this NEW storm finishes.

Still I'm up for a road trip. Where's the best spot now to just rip pow turn after pow turn?

It snowed about 60cm in town in St Anton Wednesday night then rained up to about 1800m. Not to much is open yet but what is open above the line is some nice windbuff pow.

Here's a couple of action shots from Stueben on Tuesday

Maienwasen, Jungbrunntobel and Rendl were exactly the same on the very same day.

It took us half an hour yesterday morning to clear the car of snow on departure from Nasserein. Duty was calling us off.
Get some more on behalf of us who had to leave.

Wow, sun was out this morning for approximately 20 minutes, and then back to full on gurge.

Currently it is snowing HARD down in town with big fat flakes. Tomorrow should be really really good, Laub laps perhaps? (I like saying that)

La Grave and Serre Chevalier has been puked on pretty much for a week with the sun coming out to tease for a few hours here and there. Col du Lautaret has been closed more this week than all of last season I think. Weird. But cool. Good stuff to be had whenever one is close to an open lift and not caught on the wrong side of the col with closed lifts. Heh.

it actually dumped a bit here in lausanne city today. i went to the hospital for a checkup on my wrist, and between the time i went in and came out it started dumping. big heavy wet phat flakes. oddly enough, the exact same thing happened last time i went to the hospital. what are the chances?

i'm reporting epic conditions in the west as well. rain level wasn't too high and it appears to have snowed about another 20cm last night. schindler hasn't been open in over a week and there should be about 2m+ fresh up there. hopefully she opens up today. should be a great day of skiing.

Given that we have over 20,000 views and over 1,000 responses in this thread we should really be able to get it together for the Euro Mini this year:

Possible with the accumulated snow by now. Skied Schweinströge last on Monday in 60 - 80 cm fresh - off the hook.

Unfortunately, I just got home. Saturday was another fantastic day much like tuesday...really deep, stormy and snowing hard in the morning and clear in the afternoon.

I didnt take any action shots--skiing action shots I mean--but took a few scenics when the sun came out.

Really depressed to be back, I need to figure out how I can live in Lucern...

This is looking at Titlis from the Jochpass lift. I cant remember when it was taken...thursday maybe? Heavy winds and high freezing line the evening before pretty much made it an on-piste day, but the meter of snow that fell over the next two days managed to refreshen things up, just a bit.

Holy Shit with a capital Holy Shit. I just got back from a month wandering around Europe and my life will never be the same. Skied the gnarliest rockiest bullshit ever when I got there and miscompared her to the wasatch. Then when I left I skied valley P and it was the absolute deepest tree skiing of my life. Thank god I escaped with my life. Someone died at every moutain I visited while I was at each one. I will soon be a euro resident. Everyone go to Valley P!!! it's the Alta of Europe!!! Good luck finding out where that is you fuckers!!! love you all hope the winter's going well.

Chamonix 3/13 --- Blue skies for the second day in a row and I wake up to something similar to Bird Flu, for the second day in a row.

Conditions seems pretty good out there though... damn that thai chicken curry!

    Hopefully tomorrow......

'epic' fails to describe the amount of snow in cham....more later.

p.s. who had the bros at the bottom of the g.m. on sunday morning, left a note on your skis.

wednesday- nuking wet stuff all day, covers everything but still very wonderfully ski-able. no one on the hill, hiding in the dream forest, pillows, pillows, pillows, i almost never jump, but i just couldn't resist.

thursday- wed night finished off with rising temps and rain up to a pretty high level. lots of snot, but not that bad all things considered. only problem was that the sun came out and so did everyone else.

friday- thursday night, nukage returns, but lighter this time. another half meter on top of the wetter stuff, but enough that you never bottom out. fast pow. got a bit too over-confident and hit a 20 footer that ended up having a very flat landing, ouch.

saturday- more snow, another half meter, chalet girl happens to also be ripping skier who shows me more waist deep stashes, sweetness.

sunday- another bit of sugar on top of all the other good stuff (talking snow here). ditch other clients go skiing with chalet girl again in beautiful, sunlit pow.

not a bad few days. no pics, too busy getting busy.
