Dude, good to see you back on the euro forum. One handed keyboard action is a bitch.
I broke my collarbone and 5 ribs a couple of seasons ago, i was lucky and still had my right hand operating so work was still possible.

i was in kitz / axamer the week before you guys hit the slopes and i got away with a couple of edges in on my skis.

Time is on your side, theres still a lot of season to go. Drink milk and heal fast.

Off to Tignes in 0.5 hour- snow is forecast but no idea how much really- snow-forecast says a few cm but they say that about Chamonix yet the CHam Meto are giving 0.5-8m over the next few days.

A 28hour coahc ride from Edinburgh, we might even get some snow showers on the way down to Dover- snow showers forecast down the east coast of UK as we are sitting in a strong Northerly.

If anything gets done I'll post pics.

Slut, you are in stanton for how long?
    How is the base there?
We are prolly gonna come there for few days after christmas if the snowconditions are ok there..

Can anybody say anything about the base conditions of st.anton,st.moriz,ischgl or lech?

Were thinking that we could check out the "PoshResorts" since the competition for the lines arent that bad there, because the rich people are sleeping out their shampagne hangovers in the morning...

Meat - I'm here for the season. Conditions so far have been OK, but not too good. Pretty limited as to what you are able to ski off piste, but if this storm pans out as they are predicting a lot should open up. As far as I know Lech is in the same boat snow wise.

the base is pretty fucked in tyrol right now. thin(30cm at 2000m), hoar, depth hoar and so on. with the 100cm from this storm you'll have to bee really really careful.

@ meat st. moritz and engadin have a good covergae statistically(percentage fromaverage), but the absolute numbers are lower than on the northside especially after this storm.

the fact that most of the mountain in st anton is now on wind hold should make things extra saucy with the snowpack for the next while.

Ah damn, so you cant trust shit this snow-base chart then,eh?

I mean, Lech should have a 120-150cm and cham a 150-170cm base at the moment?

    Bollocks.

Subtle, you mean that moritz and engadion have usually good base at this time of the year,of that they have it allready now?

Slut, can you recommend any reasonably priced lodging in the area for 2guys, if we should pop by in that area after christmas? Somewhere down in the valley perhaps, since everything could be full? Or?

huh ? where is your lech ? mine ist right in the green 50-70cm spot. so 30cm at an exposed south facing measuring station (st. anton galzig)
    represents this pretty good.
ad cham has well more than 1m at 2000m right now. and theyare in the 120-150 colour. edit: ok ok 150+ for cham. and i guess they have it up high.
the model caluclates heights. so if a large area is higher you will get higher values. as for example in cham

Snow started mid-morning in Chamonix. 5-10cm on the ground already, but it's snowing big fat flakes and previous experience says there will be more up high. Resort opening tomorrow... OHHH YEAHHHH.....

Skied Schlick (near Innsbruck) today, there was about 10-15cm of new already @ 9AM. Snowed all the day probably ending to at least 30cm of new by 15PM, hopefully it will continue like that all the night.. Snow was quite heavy tho, temperature wasnt that low.. Here in the valley its coming down as water.. gonna go to schlick again tomorrow and ski trees or something, avalanches arent good for your health..
