    Cool la grave

i'm here in la grave at the moment. its been incredible. today was easily the best i've had this season. been skiing trifides 1 and 2, great snow. top of the vallon is amazing, as is the whole of chancel. did pan rideau today. very sketchy traverse (worse than normal) but incredible snow on the glacier.
a bit of a trek to reach p1 but it is april 21!!!! get here if you can!!!

    may 22nd.
sadly half of the good terrain is closed because theyre building a new lift.
but the run from the stein glacier will still be doable----> 1200m of goodness
the laub was starting to lack snow down at 1200m when i was there at 4/21/05 so i guess the laub won't be doable(another 1200m vert run but this time it would be all in one slope. the best full speed slope i have seen so far in the alps ) but there is still sooo much terrain from 3000m to 1800m. youll have tons of fun.
be sure to take money from the japanese tourists if they want photos

    Ripzalot,

Are you in Switzerland at the moment?

Had the goods in France last week and I'm itching for more.

Can't believe all this snow in the Alps at the moment. Was out at Easter and basically waterskiing, now just when I can't leave England, it starts dumping.

    Oh well, enjoy it guys.

    Thursday 05 05 05 Noon.

Snowed to 1700m in Leysin and surrounding area.
Only a dusting up to 2000m.
Can't see higher due to clouds, which means above that it might still be pumping.

    Get it while you can.

but that's still 5-6 days away(although the models have been quite consistent for the last runs) and you haven't heard it from me [anti jnx]

classic siberian express is lining up for the northeastern alps. the arlberg and points east look to get some dry and light stuff over the next 2-3 weeks.
