So we had a week of abnormally high temps (40's-50's) and rivers came up a bit so while on my way elsewhere for work I decided to bring along some gear. I was a little reluctant after seeing the flow as high as it was and a few nice table top sizes of ice coming down river, but what the hell, I was there already. Well was I glad I decided to stay. I had one of those mornings that just don't happen all that often. Three hours of fishing. 80 yards of river. Hooked into 15 "rainbows" and landed 10 of them. Of course I lost the nicest one which I'm guessing was 12lbs or more, but that's what I get for only having 6lb flouro on me. Most of the others were in that 3-6lb range, but cold water acrobats are fun no matter what size. All fish took a chartreuse flashback nymph under a float.
Sorry, shitty pictures. I didn't want to keep any of them out of the water any longer than I had to. Didn't get pictures of them all, but a few of the more attractive ones.
Chubby little hen
