    How to research surgeons...

I'm getting ready for a labral repair in my right shoulder and am not necessarily set on staying with the orthopedics I've been seeing at Mt. Auburn hospital in Cambridge MA.

I've been trying to do some research and find "the best" shoulder surgeon in the Boston area but don't really know how/where to look.

Aside from googling similar questions, can anyone direct me towards a good resource or method for researching and finding a good (or the best!) surgeon to repair my shoulder?

Currently I'm leaning towards the Boston Sports and Shoulder Center, anyone been there or had any experience with any of their docs??

The only reliable way to do this research is reccommendations from satisified patients. Stupidity relating to sports team affiliations, fancy websites, and the like will get you nowhere.

I agree with the last part.
