    Bootpack Injury?

Has anyone every experienced a knee injury while boot packing in soft snow?

I was not having any knee problems until recently when I did some sidecountry hiking in my Kyrptons. Probably did 2,000 vertical feet (two runs) in soft spring snow, where it was too steep to skin out. Prolly post holed while walking some too. Maybe hyper extended my knee while putting in the boot pack.

The next day I noticed my knees felt stiff, a little sore, and kinda unstable. Pain when doing deep knee bends, climbing stairs, and full extension. My right knee tends to pop when doing vertical leg raises. Riding a bike feels funny in the right knee until it warms up some. I can do light leg extensions at the gym.

I have any ortho appointment next week, but wondering if this is characteristic of a certain injury. Any advice?

We don't like the popping. No sudden moves till you see the ortho. Go easy.
