It was quite interesting to do a backcountry trip with the CO crew while not mentioning that one of the crew was one of the many Ted Strykers. But Lance is very b/c savvy, a blast to do a trip with, and someone I would choose as a ski partner any time. He's done some big shit around the world and his experiences are always a riot when he relates them. I'm waiting for the story. I'm sure it rocks.

I think I might have disliked Stryker as much as anyone here. He did create a shitstorm during the exodus, when he stole the handles of those he was at odds with. I had no idea who the guy was. As a matter of fact ice, it was YOU who introduced me to the guy - remember the 'Couch to Valdez' story? - through some exchanged pms regarding a collaboration. That led to me talking to Lance and going to ski with him in the San Juans. Before the trip, he told me he was Stryker. So I fugured I'd hook up a bunch of the Coloraggots he'd been fueding with on the board and we'd all go skiing together and get beyond it.
I was trying to stop the ooze of the Red River of anger that was coming out of Colorado and had 'neighbor against neighbor' overtones. I had to meet all these shit-stirrin' Coloraggots. Hell, I brought them together in the backcountry for a good time. I wasn't postin all that Stryker shit back in the thick of it. Gimme a break...... In the course of my trip, I basically told Lance that the Stryker thing sucked with negativity and he really needed to let go. He agreed before I left and gave me the password, which has been passed out to the point everyone can have it or change the password forever. What was once secret and cloistered has been exposed. The wounds ain't gushin like the ole daze, if you haven't noticed. I'm not claiming shit, except that I tried to chill some scalding steam being let off on the board by getting people together to ski. Fault me if you will.
