Since we are in the slide zone, let's talk about what "sympathetic release" really is!
A sympathetic release is a long distance propagation of a fracture where the weak zone failure continues into areas where the failure does not cause an avalanche, and then back into areas where it does.
That may be one definition.
From my perspective that smacks more of a remote trigger.
A Sympathetic is
A. when an area is triggered and an unconnected area adjacent to the original path also releases.
B. When a shot detonates in a path and an unconnected adjacent path releases along with the tested path or independently of that path.

I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.
