    CMAs anyone?

Anybody else catch the CMA's last night?

Pretty much a clean sweep by Alan Jackson (humble guy who actually writes his own stuff even if they're crappy) and Johnny Cash (Baddest man, ever).

Glad to see that strutting no talent arrogant jackass Toby Keith got dissed AGAIN.

I liked that Rascal Flats wanted to honor Alabama but kind of thought they shouldn't have made them come up on stage.

But most of all I gotta say: It was good to see so many real country singers outshowing the hunks in hats!

Oh and Hank, I think you've got a little white powder in your mustache

I had nothing else better to watch so I wanted to see any current talent even though I do not like county too much. My parents have listened too it from the get go, so I have been around it for 29+ years.

Got to say that the tribute to Cash was great:

First Willie Nelson, then Hank Williams Jr., then Sheryl Crow and Travis Tritt together, then CHRIS CHRISTOFERSON ( ), then the Nitty Gritty Dirt Bag Band, back to Sheryl and Hank Jr. together and then they all got it grovin.

Good showing. And I will say that Alan Jackson has to be the most humble talent in this world.

edit: I watch Nascar too every Sunday there is no snow. Really.

Just watched the tribute, it was pretty cool in my view.

Hank did seem to be tweaking a bit more than usual, lots of rubbing his face and weirtd crap like that.

Country preformers are fairly amusing, they panned the crowd, and half of the younger crowd looked like Star Search meets the Backstreet Boys.

yeah, he was pretty damn freaky.

I just wanted to mainly see the tribute but their was this one lady who sang and played the fiddle/violin and was very good. And what is up with Kid Rock coming onstage with Leann Rimes??

Yes, and country music does suck for the most part, but music is music and if I like the song, then screw the labels (Country, Rap.....).

Kid Rock, was there to represent, uhhh.. yeah, WTF was he doing there?
Was he nominated for some cross-over category with Sheryl Crow? (Who I also don't consider to be country)???

Well all I saw is that he presented an award, grunge cowboy hat perfectly concealing those drugged out eyes the whole time.

I dont consider Crow in country either but I really dont care either.

Enjoyed the Cash tribute as well.

What I mainly came away from watching the CMAs' with though is: Shania Twain scares the living shit right outta me. I mean a big ole steamin pile of it in my pants every time I look at that WT Canadian freak-o pop/adult contemporary no-talent gold digger.

My favorite part of the CMA's was where I helped lemon boy set up at the East High MSP show and didn't know he was lemon boy until the next day.
