Hmmm. Realm of twee. I don't seem to remember any alternative rock in Lord of the Rings. But then again I was too busy getting laid by big breastesed supermodels to pay any attention to that dorky shit.
But if by twee you mean extended echoing of vocals, then yes there seems to be a lot of it. Don't bother me none tho. Guy sounds a little like Lennon.
