    East Coasters!

Where are you and what is it doing?

Montreal saw snow this morning, but it's tapering off. Temps are still below freezing and fingers are crossed.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and waffling between Saturday and Sunday for Jay (maybe I should just do both (and throw in a Monday/Tuesday as well))),

Just rain & drizzle here in boring old Stamford. But I hear fluffy white stuff will be bearing down on VT over the next 2 days.

Go get it Gin! Nothing nicer than skiing in the soft, falling snow.

    On Jay's site right now:

We've got a big storm heading our way and Jim Roemer is calling for 2-3 feet of new snow between tonight and Tuesday and Jay Peak is set to receive more snow than any resort in the northeast.

We’re already starting the day off right: we got 2” of new snow overnight! However, temps are warming up quickly and we’ve got some mixed precipitation is in the forecast for this morning. BUT! this wet precipitation should change to straight up snow this afternoon as temps drop. Jim Roemer’s calling for up to 2 feet of fresh stuff between today and through Tuesday! Stay tuned for snowfall updates.

This storm will not hit. It will not stay cold and it will not be good tomorrow. I will hate skiing as much as the mild one, I will not have a good time at all.

Portland ME -- no real rain yet, just spitting ... but very damp out. Sugarloaf is calling for 4-7" tonight. Who'll get out there on that for me? I'm going surfing.

sorry i stopped listening. you know that guy on tv who does those commercials on how to get government loans: "You could get 50,000 dollars, just for getting a sex-change operation!!!!!!!!!!!!" he yells a lot and wears purple suits with dollar signs on them? that's how i picture roemer when he does his ski forecasts.

maroon menace rolls at the crack of last call i'm thinking.

i'll get the stuff to your crib, pass out for the evening at 7-8ish, jenny gets back from the bar and wakes me up, we drive to your place, the two of us can probably carry your sleeping body to the rig, i'll be good and rested and mainlining mt. dew pitch black, and off we go.

Doesn't look like Jay plans on opening the Flyer, Tram, or Bonnie chair. Looks like some hiking will be in order. Or, better yet, bring skins.

Of course, it's all going to be rain anyhow.

whoa....forecasts all over the map on this one...literally all over the freakin map.

Got a couple inches of wet snow last night in the mad river valley, enough to cover up the frozen slush at least. NOAA saying 3-7" by saturday night, and then snow showers until tuesday...they have no idea what's gonna happen with this one.

    this is not surprising.
they wouldn't open them even if it did snow two feet. only open when they have enough skiiers there for two straight weeks to warrent putting the ther lifties on. so for two weeks you wait in insano lines at the jet, swearing under your breath at bill stengler.
