Anybody want to ride up (from Denver) or meet up somewhere tomorrow. I got the CO pass and a Loveland 4pack. Should be good.

I got a freebie to Wanker Park andper. Afternoon report has them around a foot of fresh. Also have a season pass at loveland I have not even used yet. Don't even want to think about heading out to the backcountry with all this wind activity. I'm down for something though.
I know I'm a jong and don't post much around here, but I'm headed up to WP, A-Basin, or Loveland tomorrow afternoon. I should be up there around 12:30.
I'll be at A Basin tomorrow with Mrs. Jass. Maybe Breck, we'll see.
Willing to hook up with any maggots who are there.
12:30 - what's the point then? You're gonna miss out on the freshies.Originally Posted by Lloyd Christmas

I'll be at the Jane all day tomorrow, going up tonight to hang out in Fraser.
not sure where yet...if Breck gets the most again, probably there.
Can't get out of work in the morning and I just want to ski some good snow for a few hours. Hopefully there will be some left.
ill be at breck round 8 or 8:30 most likely, since they got the most so far....
I just got back from Keystone, yeah i said it [hanging head in shame] Loveland pass was closed, Loveland ski area i believe was closed today there were no cars in the parking lot on my way back, it was almost a white out at the tunnel. Keystone didnt open Northpeak or Outback due to high winds, which is probably why Loveland was closed. Breck has nothing above a 15 degree pitch open, but i heard that Peak 8 was opening soon. Just to keep your hopes down, everything was super wind scowered with pockets of very dense windblown pow about boot deep. It was very, very variable. Literally one turn was ice, the next was windblown pow, then dirt....ugh. Good luck

Thanks for the inside info Crinkle. With that news, Loveland is looking pretty good for tomorrow. If Keystone gets some more snow, Northpeak and the Outback could be pretty good (I know, it's keystone, but they have a lot more open than Breck). Unless, Breck opens some new stuff tomorrow, I think that's out.Originally Posted by Crinkle
You think Breck might open Peak 10 tomorrow? Or maybe the hike to Peak 7?
"Can't vouch for him, though he seems normal via email."
If you're really lucky they might open 10, but 7 doesn't usually open until t-bar has been running for a little while, and T-bar doesn't usually open until 6 chair has been running for at least a week.Originally Posted by Below Zero
I'd hope for either peak 10, or 6 chair with a traverse to joker rock opening. I know they got the most snow and all but if neither opens I'd go to keystone and try and find something in the trees that's a bit steeper.
I know this sounds pathetic, but Keystone with North Peak and the Outback might be the ticket. Breck is just too flat, and I think that they will only open the front side of Peak 8. If they opened the old 4 Chair area, E Chair, Peak 10, or 6 Chair then I could stand going to Breck. It's been dumping all day in Breck(town), so there has to be at least another 8" up top since report time this morning. Where to ski?![]()
Old's Cool.
Well, lets see, loveland didn't open for winds partially, but more importantly they didn't have quality power. With all the wind their power supply was shady at best from what I heard. Keystone, will ski very well tommorow, but you all should head over to breck or abasin(mostly unopened at both today), they won't have any wind blown shitBut I will be at keystone making sure shit gets done, and skiing tommorow, look for a green fate jacket ducking in and out all sorts of things.

WELL OF COURSE, thats why I am me and you aren't
I'll be schralping the backcountry of remote Cubicle Mountain deep in the Tech Center Range tomorrow.
I'll ski at Keystone early tomorrow morning. All black - blue helmet.

Sorry we didn't see you Crinkle.
Keystone had nothing open. Gondola was not runing due to high winds and SummitX was not running due to mechanical problems so half the front side was closed. Northpeak: closed. Outback: closed.
Everything else: windscoured and windbuffed (a few knee deep turns) HIGHLY VARIABLY
I recommend against cutting into steep treed areas between slopes. I triggered a 10ft slough slide on a short pitch inbounds very early in the day. Throughout the day after that I observed extensive whoomfing and lots of shooting cracks even on flat catwalks that were loaded. There were several gladed areas we did not ski because of this obvious danger.

Crinkle described it perfectly. I'll describe it in two words, "it sucked".

I think I'm leaning towards Vail now. Talked to a guy on the phone and he said that it has been snowing hard over there all day. The bowls are supposed to open up after the next significant storm and I think this could be it. Back Bowls/Northwoods lift sounds like an excellent combination. Bowls will definitely be windblown but that stuff by Northwoods lift should be cherry.
Old's Cool.
I'll be at breck or keystone tomorow. Red North Face Jacket, Black Pants, Silver Helmet w/visor, beard.
