Got an email today about getting a Level 2 class here in missoula, thought I'd pass it along in case anyone's interested:
We got a lot of requests for a Level 2 course in Missoula - as of now
there are 4 folks signed up for a minimum enrollment of 12. AAI will
cancel without 12 students. Please pass the word if you think anyone is
interested.

Level 2 Avalanche Class – Missoula
The American Avalanche Institute is offering a Level 2 course in Missoula
supported by missoulaavalanche.org.
The course runs Feb. 15-18. The course fee is $435.00.
Instructors:
Don Carpenter – Don works for Alpine Ascents on Denali, Mt. Rainier, and
in the Cascades. He is a Senior Instructor with the National Outdoor
Leadership School. His expeditions have taken him to Alaska, the
Washington Cascades, Antarctica, Chile, Argentina, and India. He is a
co-owner of the American Avalanche Institute in Jackson, WY.
Blase Reardon – Blase is a forecaster with the Sawtooth Avalanche Center.
He forecast avalanche hazard for Glacier’s Going-to-the-Sun Road for many
years. Blase is a past editor for the Avalanche Review and still serves on
the Publication Committee.
Dudley Improta – Dudley is a forecaster and educator for the West Central
Montana Avalanche Center. He recently retired from the University of
Montana, where he began running the Outdoor Program over thirty years ago.
He is a full certified ski instructor and backcountry guide with PSIA.
