I want to watch the sun come over the mountains from the summit at Berthoud and was wondering what time some of you would reccomend planning at being at the summit?
It takes me about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the top and I was thinking about trying to be in the parking lot around 5:30. Is this too late? I guess my real question is what time does the sun rise?

look at the sunrise time and subtract 1 hr.
sunrise here is about 7:40. i like to be at the top of the line for 6:30

Sunrise in Denver is 7:09, and sunrise at Copper is at 7:12. So, I say be at the top around 7:00. Should be an excellent day. Hoping for about 12"-16".
