    Stein River???

    Does anyone know where the Stein RIver is? I saw it on LVM and was like "DAMN!" I wanna hit that shit!

    Northeast of Pemberton, though it flows to the east, so the takeout would not be near Pemberton. It's very remote. I've never paddled it but I did a long backpacking trip in the area. Amazing spot. Some magazine article I read said that there is easier access coming in on North Stein, which sounds right based on what I remember. To put in on the main stem you'd either have to hhike 15 miles over some sizeable peaks through some of the most brutal terrain I've ever seen, or hike up from the bottom, which I think would be over 20 miles on a trail that is overgrown with devils club and fireweed.
    It's a really cool spot though. What's the video? I've only seen stills.
