I'm sure some of you have heard stories of GT taking waaaay worse hits than this in his dirtbike/4-wheeler days. I'm sure he'll be back & stronger than ever. That guy just doesn't stop.

Sorry to hear about your wrist! Good vibes sent your way!
Like tippster said get the doc to mold your cast to your Ski pole. I broke my wrist and the doc would not mold my first 2 casts to my grip, but I did get him to mold the 3rd cast so I could get out and play.

    D'oh!!

Just talked with GT. He's a little down, but not too bad. Surgery is slated for 4 PM tomorrow. Unfortunately it's his right hand that's injured. He wanted me to give a HUGE thanks to backpack for all the help he provided today, everything from the hill to the hospital and filling out paperwork for the docs (much needed given the hand injury). Much grattitude. Made a bad situation much better.

He says he'll probably be skiing again in around a week or so based on how things are feeling. Shooting pics probably won't happen much given the injury to the hand, but he can still ski.

He wanted me to let DTM know he won't be able to make it down to ski together as planned.

He said the skiing was great. Was killing it on the Spatulas all morning. Was hitting an icy section where two groomers came together in a run out and hit a hole of some sort while carrying a ton of speed. Bindings ejected, he wished they hadn't, and he hit the ice hard. Took out some poles and the like.

It sounds like he was really excited for the camp and would love to give it a shot later in the winter.

I hate to hear this, I hope for a quick recovery. Just think duct tape / pole / mitten.

I sure hope you're right Crinkle.

I also hope GT40's injury is nothing like what I did to my wrist/arm last spring. Positive vibes sent and best wishes for a speedy recovery to a wonderful man.

    DAMNIT!

I'm really sorry GT. I was looking forward to getting to hang out with you to see just what type of creature spawned Meats.

Hope the surgery is a success and let us know how you are doing.

You've got a spot reserved at any of the remaining camps, for sure.
