If today was any indication, tomorrow should be REALLY deep. Everything we skied was sweet - boot to knee deep pow in most places ,and deeper in some wind affected spots. Last run down Eagle's Nest was the deepest I got all day, and that was at 2:30. When we left it was absolutely nuking up there. Winds are strong as hell too, so theres gonna be some deep wind drifts. The only thing about tomorrow is that winds are supposed to stay strong I think, maybe dying in the afternoon, so lift closures might be an issue.

I'll be at the Birdy Bird by about noon due to snowboarding friend coming out on the 10:30am flight - anybody else gonna be up there?

(by the way, Lumpy, if you're reading this...want to go to Alta tomorrow morning?)

    Arrow

Thursday will rule, because the EBT was closed at 11AM today because of high winds, so nothing on the high traverse was skied after that, so the nest, thirds, gunsight, and all other runs accessed by the High T was not skied at all today. Snowbird's Tram was closed due to 70MPH winds, so the cirque will be DEEP. Either place you go it'll rule.

Uh...EBT was definitely open in the afternoon. Rode it to High T at around 2. So did a whole bunch of other people. Skied Nest, it was choice. Doesn't matter - its still gonna be sick tomorrow.

you are required to stay inside of the lodge or risk a fine (least of your worries) or painful death from avalanche. they are shooting across the street.

No travel outside of the lodge! Due to risk of avalanche from them bombing!
    Face jail time and fine$$$$
I was stuck in a cabin there for a long interlodge for almost 2 days back in 94' I think we got 57" in 24 hours and a storm total of 72"
Well we ended up partying all day and watching the snow stack up. Around 4:00 pm my buddy bust through the door with a white sheet over his head. Scared the shit out of us at first.
He was getting cabin fever in his cabin by him self. So he made the short trip in the heart of the storm undercover!

I had been planning on taking a late afternoon flight from Reno but after reading this Im considering an early morning flight. The earliest Southwest can put me into SLC is 10:20 so Im wondering if its worth it. Should I take this flight and canyon shuttle for a solid half day and risk no ride back down the hill or should I wait. Also if I take the early flight is there going to be anyone up there that could shuttle me down to sandy??

It's going to be tracked out by the time you get to ski.

Didn't Tahoe get tons of snow as well?

They seemed to be done working on Collins by the afternoon, and the website said it would be running Thursday, so I'm taking their word for it.
