So the catalyst of the recent avalanche of maggot philanthropy and good will was started by Shin-to-Win, a lurker with 16 posts who decided to give away his spot in Str8line's camp when he couldn't make it. The after-affects of his selfless act of kindness have been felt by many directly and even more through the derivative warm & fuzzies we are getting seeing this all go down. Plus it is dumping in UT!
Turns out the reason Shin-to-Win can't go to the camp is because he has a cancerous tumor in his eye that is doing all sorts of bad stuff. He is about to fly to CA to get the fucker zapped by protons. He is likely going to keep his eye, but will likely loose vision in it. The proton blast stuff should kill the tumor, but no guarantee. The good part is that it is likely to do the trick and he can keep his eye.
I don't know the dude and have only exchanged 2 pm's with the guy, but I know I will be pulling for him with my ninja mental powers as hard as I can. I also know he won't be buying any beers if he comes through Chicago in the next decade.
