Southwest Airlines is coming to Philly soon! Hopefully this means I can finally afford to take a trip out West to ski with some of you guys. If the next few weeks are as profitable as the last few, I might even make the Summit!!!

Wow, that's huge. I remember in college everyone who wanted to take Southwest for interviews had to go down to Baltimore. Most still found it cheaper to drive to MD and take Southwest than to leave directly from Philly. Crazy how airlines set airfares.

It's funny the things that I put myself through when traveling for fun (SW Airlines) vs work (US Airways, and God help them if I don't get upgraded!!!!)

having us airways as pretty much the only airline option in my town stinks, even if we have the best airport in the country. driving three hours to cleveland has been worth my while many occasions. southwest is great!!

There was an article in yesterdays USA Today about a discount airline that plans on operating out of Pitt. Project Roam I think its called. The article said that they plan on doing it more like JetBlue than like Southwest, leather chairs, lotsa leg room. The coolest things however were the $20 upgrades to bussines class and the no charge flight changes. The article also mentioned that they plan on allowing the tickets to be transferrable but Im not sure that Idea will fly. Sorry about the pun.
