    So...this time last year

I had 5-6 times as many days, I think 15 or so. Maybe 20.

And I somehow still don't have any money for new gear. Not that there's any time to ride it.

Working kinda blows, though I do have a pretty cool job.

In other news: The Canyons sucks. There's nothing fun, jibbable, or steep there. Yeah, nothing.

Get Inspector Gadget to show you around. He'll let you in on the goods.

One year ago I was in severe pain, had a bunch of stitches in me, and had a plastic drain in me to collect all sorts of gross fluids seeping from my flesh.

At this stage last year I had zero days skiing in, was working my ass off trying to get everything in order for our Christmas shutdown and was looking forward to a four day Euro roadtrip departing on the morning of Boxing Day.

    Same shit, different year.

    My whereabout are well-documented.
I had 0 days, and over the next 2 1/2 months, would only see 5 days.

(And *still* qualified for Nationals! Booya!)

This time last year I was skiing waist deep. This year we have maybe a total of 20 inches of snowfall for the season.

about this time last year i was have my first ski day on groomers in canada and getting tanked.

and about two weeks from this time last year i was experiencing the coldest temps VT has seen in over one hundred years and getting daily phone calls from Tresckow asking me why the hell my paper wasn't done and telling me to forget jackson and move to UT. i think it worked.

    I'll play.

Last time this year, I was shralping all over Utah on my Ski Utah Silver Pass(good for 30 days at each UT resort) and slingin' cell phones on eBay by night. Now, I've got a 9-5 job slingin' database design and doing web programming. That may change soon since come spring I'll be looking for contract programming gigs during the summer so I can be on the mountain every day come winter.

Last year this time I worked at The Canyons and had skied a lot more friggin' days than I have this year. Working in Heber vs 5 minutes from the lifts blows.

In other news, I'll be skiing The Canyons in about 7 hours and if you can keep up I'll show you more untracked pow than you've ever skied in bounds.

Last year this time I had about 10-15 CO days in. Nothing great but it was skiing.

This year, back on the east coast havent skied a day and its still mid 50's here in NY. I probably won't get my first days in until xmas back out in CO. Those days just can't come soon enough

This time last year Jackson Hole was open top-to-bottom, but I had a two-day old tibial plateau fracture and was hobbling around on crutches.

So far this year, only Apres Vous chair is open, but I'm totally healthy.

    This year's better (for me).
