Nice to see Baker get rolling this weekend but I was back at Big White and it's just been going off nicely. Last weekend was really good for a November opening and Ullr's been delivering the goods ever since. Snowed off and on all week. I showed up Friday night and woke up to 3" and snowing lightly all day. Sunday morning we had around 8" more overnight.Yeah, so I cleaned out my shorts first and just went like a frickin sled dog both days until I couldn't make another turn. Hit all the open stuff and turned to the front side honey holes both days with some killer laps through the Ridge glades, lower Cliff bowl, and Easter Chutes. They haven't opened up the higher lifts yet but right away they'll start, the base is up to 140cms (55") and the coverage is unreal. We just need Mama Nature to keep the freeze on.
Riding the lifts I'd find myself wistfully dreaming about how the Bros would feel flying through the knee deep. I even had thoughts of getting them to just send me a set of Bro-blem skis but I can wait. Honestly, I won't go insane, the pain will just make it that much sweeter when they arrive.Anyways, I just had a blast bombing around all weekend scoring sweet 2005 freshies with my buddies from Kelowna. Here's some pics, enjoy.
