Ouray/Telluride 1/7-1/11

I will be in Ouray 1/7-1/9 and Telluride 1/9-1/11 for the Ouray Ice climbing festival and then to get in a day of skiing on Monday. I have never been to either town.

Was wondering if anyone was around and wanted to meet up for a beer or had restaurant recommendations or downtime recommendations in either town or wanted to give up some stash (heh heh) at Telluride.

I will be with a buddy in Ouray and taking a seminar (day long intro to ic) and a clinic (women's only intro to ic) & staying at the Best Western at the Ice fest and then crashing with a friend I have not seen in a long time who will be pretty busy working (so pretty much by myself) in Telluride.

ALSO if you happen to be driving from Telluride to Denver on 1/11 that would be awesome and would save me the cost of a rental car. Happy to split gas or buy you lunch or whatever.

Gotta be stoked to be heading this way. Skiing has been pretty good in Telluride but we could use more snow. Regarding finding a ride to Denver, you may want to post on the rideshare on www.koto.org that would be the best place to find a potential ride. I have been to Ouray once about a year ago. Freaking fantastic place. I can recommend the Irish pub on the main st (Main St?), about the middle of town. Cool vibe, good food, and of course good brews.
