    Looking: PM in NYC/NJ

    Hi all,
I'm new around here, but I have heard a lot of great things about this community so I thought I would ask.
I graduated 2008 with a degree in engineering management and have been employed as a Structural Engineer since then.
I am looking for a Project Management or similar position (engineering related or not) in the NYC/NJ area.
I know this is a bit different than a lot of the other posts being neither ski related, nor on the west coast.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or leads.
    Thanks for looking.

Sorry, I'm not trying to thread jack here but is your EM degree a Bachelor's or Master's and do you think it's worthwhile? I'm taking classes for an EM certificate on the side of an unrelated graduate degree and am deciding whether to try and turn the certificate into a full Master's.

It's a bachelors. Definitely working towards the MEM at some point. Most of the Masters programs are only 1 year, but I guess it depends on how unrelated your graduate field really is. I think it would be worthwhile. What field are you trying to get in to?

My degree is food science. I started taking a couple EM classes each semester to get a background in project management and six sigma, now I might just finish the full MEM [2 more years but I'll be in school anyways]. My alternative would be to wait for an employer to hopefully send me for an MBA down the road.
