    eBay eVilness

    Pop quiz.
You're watching an item you like, but it has gone beyond your price range. Do you bid up the price far ahead of the close date, knowing that your bid will be sniped, just to be an a-hole and up the final price for the gapers who will snipe it?

(Example- You'd pay $20 for the item in a ski shop, but won't pay more than $10 in eBay (to factor in shipping costs). You keep bidding up to $20 just to up the price 3 days ahead of closing, knowing that your bid will not win it anyway)

No. Keeping price low now means the next guy won't get a high price, either. Ergo, you'll eventually get your shit for 10 bucks.
    It's idomatic, beatch.

Not at all. eBay is a very volatile market place.

A lady I work with you to love running up ebay bids untill it back fired and she had to for out over 1000 dollars for somehting she did not want. It was funny and she laughs about she put it back on ebay and lost money.
If ski companies didn't make new skis every year I wouldn't have to get new skis every year.

I think a few people on the east coast tried it while selling cars, I think they are now in a nice white collar resort.

If this ain't a drunk post.....well, it better be.

I've had good luck on ebay just waiting until there's a minute or two left, and bidding about three or four bids up (i.e. if the bid increment is $1, bid three or four bucks above the current bid). You end up spending a few extra bucks, but it pretty much locks down the item for you.
