    Titinal 3s......strong?

I forget where, but someone told me that said bindings are not strong enough for hucking and have a chance of breaking on hard landings. Is this true? I mean I only weigh around 150 so i doubt i qould break them, but is it possible?

I am looking to save money, but should I just save up for Freerides?

the toe jaw is pretty weak. they are fine for touring, but i know a few girls who only weigh in the 115lb range that have broken theirs. try to find an old pair of last years freerides if you want to save cash.

I ski the II's and am 5'11" 170lbs and haven't broken them yet. I ski pretty conservatively though so that might have something do with it. If you are 'core' and like to ride 'hard' and 'huck', then get the freerides.

Also, if you're buying this years stuff, the cost of the new model of the DIII + brakes (not included) = cost of Freerides.

I've got the Titanal IIIs and haven't had any trouble with them. But then I don't catch big air. I know they're not really made for hucking. The decision to go with the IIIs was easier for me too because I live 15 min away from BD, so I can get them warrantied on the spot if I break them.

gramps, i noticed that you mounted the jak's with freerides. do you notice any difference in performance or how solid/sloppy they feel compared to each other?

APD - not at all. If anything, I think the Freerides might be getting a little sloppier just because they're older and I've got a lot days on them.
