The NWS is currently predicting 234-252 inches of snow in the Tetons in the next day and a half!

    That's gonna be sweet!

There's no fuckin' way that the National Weather Service could possibly make a mistake. No fuckin' way.

This happens to the NWS once in a while; it's a problem with their "National Digital Forecast Database"; they pretty much feed all the data into a giant elevation based grid of america, and generate those zone forecasts you're looking at.

It's a hands-off process, that's not checked before it goes to the web. (think about the time it would take to check every forecast for every zone in america!). When one point in the grid is off, some funny results come up, like what you're seeing...

You could get 80 inches of snow, but there's only a 30% chance of any precipitation. Now that's what you call feast or famine!
