The system Tuesday and Wednesday will have quite a bit of wind with it. A strong...moist and warming northwesterly flow will follow this system and last into Friday before high pressure moves in and shuts off the winds.

Does this indicate a decent snow event or just winds?

Ski Monkey, it says nothing of snowfall, that is a copy-and-pasted quote directly from the Cottonwood Canyons forecast issued this morning. For some reason the forecasts they've been issuing this year seem more cryptic than in years past. Maybe I'm just paying more attention to them.

I was looking at the GFS model and that shows precip throughout the week, but with my limited weather experience I don't understand it fully. The model shows a warming trend towards the end of week. I am just trying to pull it all together.

Ah didn't realize this was for LCC. Mrryde's location is cryptic as is his nonutarded message. It seemed like it was going to be another forecast for a location RB wasn't at(there's been more and more of these lately). I just don't want to abuse our resident meteorologist.

Anyhow, here is the forecast...be happy with the snow we get. If no snow then sun, it's utah after all.

should have specified LCC. Whether it snow or not I will be happy. More concerned about the whether conditions when my flight arrives Tuesday morning.
