Not going to the Mini? Who'll be in Mammoth/Tahoe?

So I've got a few days off, and I was supposed to go to Utah, but it ain't gonna happen. I was thinking of heading to Mammoth and Tahoe for a day or three. Anyone gonna be around?

i'll be around in N. Tahoe. it will be my last weekend before i head to Maui so then everyone can get the huge dumps during the holiday week.

i'll be a Alpine (freshies - are we gonna hookup?) and maybe doing some BC days depending on the conditions.

yeah, chili, we need to make some turns together for sure. am thinking of heading up tomorrow if this storm pans out to score 'ze fresh snow on sunday...you gonna be there sun morning?

Weekend days depends - if it is dumping, it is passable because the multitudes stay in bed, but if it is nice and bluebird, it will be busy. It's always seemed to me that Squaw gets crowded lift lines, but on the hill it's not too bad if you know where to go and in what sequence...ie when Silverado is open, it is NEVER crowded back there, nor is Solitude and rarely Emigrant etc.

I will be from time to time tue-thu (non holiday) when I can get the $39 student ticket. Otherwise its just too expensive (unless you can get me a hookup ).

And me and divegirl can't make the utah mini either so we'll be aroun tahoe at that time.

yeah, i'll be there Sunday morning. hopefully for first chair (especially if we get some snow) but realistically, prolly not since i will most likely have the family in tow. you want to set a time/place to try and hookup? 9am bottom Summit (or Roundhouse if Summit isn't spinning?) let me know....

No, I ave yet to buy binders for my Spats and get 'em mounted. Did you take them to GC @ Squaw? I am getting biners in the next few weeks and will be set then. I will be on my K2 Kahunas if I am there - big 'ol fat blue sticks!

No mini for me, so I'll definitely be around. I've missed the huge Xmas/New Year's storms the past two years and there's no fucking way in hell I'm going to miss out IF they hit again this year. I already told my family I'm flying into LA Christmas morning and leaving Christmas night.

In other words, it's gonna dump 10 feet on Christmas Eve and then all melt out Christmas Day.

So I'll be at the Weed most likely on Sunday cause that's where the cheap pass exists. Dontcha know that's why so many maggots ski there? It's like Burbankwood with a dash of Tonopah thrown in. So maybe you two need to drop down south sometime.

hey chili, looks like i am skipping tomorrow - this storm looks beat: a few inches at best. however, if this second storm predicted for Tues 1) holds together, and 2) temps/snow levels do not rise too high (predecting warmer storm w/snow level around 6k ), then i will be @ Alpine Wed morning first chair to get the goods....

basically, i have become a snow snob in my older and wiser yrs: less that '10 new, ain't worth the trip to the hill
