    Sled triggered slide on Jones

Just found this brief write up about the slide on Sunday and thought I would pass it along. The guy had an ABS pack on. Has a few pics.

Reading the report makes me think instead of buying an ABS pack they should have picked up a map, dug around in the snow and not "ended up on a slope they planned on avoiding"
    But the pack works...

Same incident but it was written up by the guy caught in the slide and had a few pics of the area. Not sure why its not working, I suck at the internet.

I think that may be the same backcountryislife that posts here. Only person on my ignore list. glad he is ok . said he only got carried 100' hard to believe the airbag stopped him. Airbag does look like it works well. Watched The Way I See It the other day. Guy popped his two days in a row. Definitely kept him from getting damaged.

Jesus! I just read about this in today's Denver Post.

Yes, I know who it is, and thank god he is OK. Would love for him to speak up in this thread.

I don't know about that. Sounds like they were above tree line, moving above chutes and below head walls in low visability on a day when the avy rose was at considerable.
