This is beginning to be really annoying!!! Damn hacker kids

Since I'm not on snow, this has been a looong day, sitting here clicking the reload button every 5 minutes trying to log in.

So I think Ive read all threads about the BROs... they will be here monday!!!

The early rumors of a renagade band of AT skiers seizing control of TTips have proven to be false. But rather just some punk ass hijacking our server.
Here is the official word......

This week the Telemarktips.com and TelemarkTalk.com server was compromised by hackers and we have taken the main hard drive offline to prevent further damage. I am told that it appears most, if not all, of our data is recoverable. We are currently working to restore our databases and webpages to a newly secured box and OS. At this time we have a temporary opening page set up on our server and there we will be updating our community as to our progress in this regard. Until we get our DNS situation straightened out the page can be accessed at the following web address:

http://69.56.187.182/~telemark/index.html

Personally I'd like to thank everyone for their support and concern. It's really a bummer when stuff like this happens, but it's also an opportunity to come back online in a way that allows us to serve our visitors faster, better, and more reliably. And that's the goal.

We are working pretty much round the clock get fully back up asap! If all goes according to plan we should be back live by Monday, if not sooner.

Dude I am seriously jonesin for my teletips fix, but as someone said above, i've never been so fucking productive. i got so much more shit done this week, and even fired some people

Hackers area a real pain. My site is under attack on a regular basis, largely from people located in Russia and it just sucks when you are trying to provide some useful stuff for the ski community.

Thanks for the update, Mitch, and good luck with your efforts. I can imagine that you are busting @ss and pulling all nighters right now. Faster server will be the silver lining in that cloud.
