i think anyone who admits to being a professional curler may also deserve a shot here.

    True dat.

But we'd be hardpressed to come up with anyone more deserving than GT40. I just wonder if he'll actually accept it?

I nominate TRock for many reasons.

First, he lives on the East Coast and has been reading all of your deep pow trip reports since October while drooling at his desk in downtown Boston (where the glut of snowfall is beginning to make us all a little nutso). He may not contribute to this forum as much as a lot of you but he's reading - and drooling.

Second, he's in mad shape and can handle getting pummled on the rugby pitch equally as well as a 15 foot huck (if he only had the opportunity).

Third, the only time he's ever been out West to ski was when he visited me in Squaw Valley ten years ago - and he ripped the shit out of it (along with succombing to one of the nastiest sunburns I've ever seen). That's once in 20 years. That's just not right.

T and I have skied together for a long time and I haven't seen him this stoked about the ski season since high school. He's got all new gear and just needs a good reason to use it. The Maggot Camp is exactly what he needs to become a better, stonger skier. Hell, we could all use a few days in the Wasatch but TRock would benefit more from it than anyone I know.

    That is all.

GT40. Not just for his mad pic skillz, but for the hospitality and kindness he showed to me and everyone when i came down there last year.

I mean, after a day on the hill he could sweep out the offices in like two minutes.

I say GT40, on the condition that he shows us the GT40.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    Does GT40 want to go?

If not, I vote for the Brofessional Curler.

I'll give some more reasoning for GT40:

This is something that he would probably never do for himself on his own, but would want to sit and hear all about it from anyone of us. He is a maggot's best friend, generous, stoke-filled and stoke providing. He has been going out of his way to help maggots for more time than most of us have even been on this board or the other one. I am sure many of us could give a laundry list of great things that GT40 has done for us and for the community, and never once has he asked for a favor in return, because he likes sharing the sport that we all love. Don't give him the chance to refuse, just give it to him.

    Very cool Shin.

Does GT know he's in the lead?

I really liked Castro's story. Reads like a Hollywood script. Curler goes on to become dominate the freeskiing world...

    40oz of GT without question.
Without getting sappy, he's a pretty incredible person. He gives so much and asks for nothing in return. It shows through the rest of his family. Do it STW, you won't regret it.

I nominate Blurred. The guy can talk the talk, but he hasn't proven if he can walk the walk. Photoshopped pics of him dropping measly 15 footers aren't enough.

    Thumbs up

GT40 all the way!! The man gives so much and takes nothing in return.

Having known GT for many years, spending many days on the hill with him, confided in him (Im sure he thinks Im nuts, but he is still a great friend to me), spending time at his home and much more.

Let let GT get some video analysis and some great coaching and pics of him!!

He has spent way too many pow days standing knee deep in the snow to capture the images we all love and enjoy here, while freezing his tail off.

He needs this and I can't think of anyone who has provided day in and day out the stoke here.

    GT40 deserves this.

I've told the story of my arrival at last years utah mini a few times over now, so I'll spare you all. Suffice to say, I'm in agreement with just about everyone else - GT40 definitely deserves it for his support of the community, his hospitality towards complete strangers, and his all around good nature!

    GT40!

Even if he doesn't want to schralp the all the gnar-gnar, the photo-documentation he could provide for the first maggot camp would be SICK.

I'm not saying he should go and just take photos, but the dude obviously likes to take photos. And we like to look at them.

    Eh?

Edit: This may be an ungood addition and take away from the pure goodness of the thread. I'm not sure. If it does, please ignore. Danka.

    Additonal Condition:

GT40, on one other condition: he leaves HIS camera home and the picture taking to someone else this time!!! He can always shoot another camp. THis one should be skiing only for him IMO.

Time to be the slut GT!!!!

GT40 is the man!!! Hands down!!

    ^ That's funny.

Another vote for GT, if he'll go. One of the most caring people on the planet, much less on this board.

    C'mon, Doc! Do it!

(edit: Maybe someone should tell him, eh?)
    It's idomatic, beatch.
