Making the move...
Well, after 6 months of consideration, 2 months of actual consideration and 2 weeks of I-am-for-real-gunna-do-this-shit, a decision has been made: I'm moving to Utah. I've found some nice people through roomates.com (thanks for whomever recommended this to someone else a while ago) who want to give me a room in cottonwood heights for a modest $225 a month. Much appreciation goes to a little internet photo contest (see sublimedirectory.com) for giving me the capital to purchase a non pre-season season pass. And finally, I'd like to give my deepest regards to everyone who has posted the incredible stoke since snow began to fall on Alta while I struggled through this terrible Oregon fall. God bless you.
Now, down to buisiness. First, anyone have a job for me? I know its a little late to start working at a hill
but I do have a years experience at mt. ashland (southern oregon) being a rental tech. Think thats good enough? prolly not. Eh, we can work on the job thing later. Second, assuming I can't aquire an employee pass, ya'll know of any discounted season passes for alta/snowbird? That would be beautiful. Third, a friend and I are going to fly out before Christmas to ski and so I can tie down a few loose ends and whatnot. Know of any cheap digs in the area? A tour of your great mtn would be much appreciated as well.
Thanks for any advice; this ski town jong needs all you've got. And HOLY SHIT IM STOKED!!!
You look like I need a drink.
