Graphic Arts Mags, a little help please

Okay this whole being away from the family for weeks at a time thing isn't working. And since I didn't sign a noncompete agreement when I sold my company and the guys that bought basically fucked me out of the job I was supposed to have with them, which is why I'm now stuck working in but fuck nowhere in northern alberta, I'm going to restart my company in January. Problem is I need a logo for my new company and I don't have the cash right now to pay to have one made I was hoping some of you might be able to help a brother out. The new company is called "Eager Beaver Tree Care" and I was thinking it would be cool to copy the Starbucks logo except with my company name and a beaver instead of a mermaid. I don't know if anybody can help me out, and I'm leaving early in the morning to head out of town for an undisclosed amount of time so I won't be able to check back on this thread. All I can say is that "I'll be home for christmas, you can count on me" and I will find a way to return the favor. Also I'm not locked into the name so throw out some suggestions if you want.

    later,
    planks

Hey, I thought you weren't going to check back in on this thread.

"Eager Beaver" is a decent name for a tree service, but it would be a great name for a whorehouse.

no, but thats not what you said you were going to do. if you do what you said at first which is
copy the Starbucks logo except with my company name and a beaver instead of a mermaid, with matching fonts and colors, and design the beaver with a similar block cut look to it, then likely starbucks lawyers will be talking to you if they find out.

OMG! I love xboat's design. I say go w/ it!

And yes, some pretty choice slogans ran thru my mind too. It certainly will attract some interest. I like it though.

Good luck and let me know if you need help tweaking or want to see other designs.

And that one didn't have "eager beaver" as a starting point.

This has so much potential. I picture that Paris Hilton getting out of the car photo, myself.

I'm with you snowsprite, I think that design rocks. Slap that thing on the side of a truck or business card and I would remember it for sure.

Damn, now I want to start a business just so xboat can design a logo for me.

FKNA!!!! xboat your the man, man. You nailed it. Now to come up with a catchy slogan that will go over well here in Utah north. That was definately nice to come home to. And thankyou sprite for the offer to help, but I must say I like it just the way it is. Maggots are the shit.
