waxing my skis tonight for hopes that snowshoe will open by the time I get back from Poland. I'm with you on the woop t doo. With the way things are shaping up I wont get out west until March. So enjoy every bit of it, for those who can / do. Keep the pics coming, they work wonders for those of us that are trapped.

It is a horribly slow, painful wait for snow to open just about anything in the PNW. The horizon seems so close but yet so far- there are a few 'storms' forecasted, but we need some serious good old fashion cascade concrete to get these lifts a turning.

    example 1:
Crystal Mountain Snow Report: "OPERATING HOURS TODAY: CLOSED UNTIL THE ARRIVAL OF SNOW"

    example 2:
Stevens Pass: "Stevens Pass is CLOSED. Stevens will open as soon as we have sufficient snow. Stay tuned to this report for updates and current weather."

    example 3:

Ullr, we beg of you. Please do not forsake us this week. We are starved and at your mercy. We bestow upon you our finest offerings of the finest winter brews and lagers to bring a bounty of snow to the WA Cascades/PNW and eagerly await your arrival.

<<SIGH>> I am adding myself to this list as much as it pains me. I am trying to stay positive, trying to focus on the tasks that lie ahead of me, but the guilt and the dismay won't go away. Even if we had snow, I wouldn't have time right now to ski...don't hate me ok guys??????

I've only had the chance to ski eleven times so far

One day BC , 2 on gaper runs and the rest on inbounds powder. I'll be working on my third session of tuning this season tonight...

I hate it when the season starts off so slow...

    As I posted in Rev's thread - it's 56 today. It was 61 yesterday.
It'll be in the low to mid 50's for the next 10 days.
    I am not pleased.

    Chained to Desk

I'll be chained to my desk trying to close deals until the end of the year. Then it's off somewhere out west on January 4 to January 11.
I ski because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things.

None for me yet. Just got back from two surf filled weeks in Costa Rica though, so I missed Whistler opening day. Will hit it this weekend....

Looks uncannily like pics I've seen of Telenater, maybe I can PM him and order up some cold temps and a bit of snow.
I should probably change my username to IReallyDon'tTeleMuchAnymoreDave.

Hoping to get north to VT this wknd...visit gparents, pick up a xmas tree, maybe even ski a little...if mission is successful, will be the first time on snow this winter. Contrast to last year, when second or third day was opening day at the Jane before t-day...that was fun.
