Recs for NH/VT level 1 avy course

I took a level 1 class w/ Gary Brill ( excellent avy educator) when I was living in Seattle. I'm relocating to SW NH, and want to take an avalanche course locally to refresh and get acquainted with the NE snowpack.

As I'm quite unfamiliar with the schools in the region, are there any recommendations for courses based in the western NH or S. VT area? I'd prefer somewhere local(ish), but would take a weekend course in N. Conway or wherever if that would be the best quality training.

    Thanks

No courses are taught in those regions, but here's an overview of the NE options:

JS - thanks for compiling the list of Avy course options. I was planning on taking a course out West before jumping on the BC AT bandwagon and taking my second sojourn to South America, but after reading your thoughts here on TGR it seems like taking Level 1 on the EC won't be hugely problematic.

EMS, IMCS and the AMC all had course offerings this upcoming weekend in NH. I was waitlisted for all three but slots opened up for the IMCS and AMC courses...went with AMC because it included lodging/food (lodging especially important because I live in VT) and from reading your blog post, seems the differences between an NSP and AIARE course, at least at Level 1, seem to be negligible.

I'll update the thread with my experiences when I get back from this weekend.

I never ended up signing up for a course, but thanks for all of the replies. Super useful info all around!
