Of "The Mangs" there are many. Of "Poor Bastards" there is one.

Red Baron is The Mang. For he doth forecast accurately and true. He doth lure us to UT with prophecies of cold smoke.

GT is The Mang. For he put us up in style at the cliff lodge and took hundreds of photos of we skiers playing whack-a-mole through the powder.

Freshie is The Mang for he doth got my boots fixed and some fatties mounted in the matter of a few hours before the UT trip. All the work done by the shops was also done for free. A well connected man.

Powderwhore is The Mang. For doth let us turn his apartment into a fart basting chamber. He also stomps lincolns on Spatulas like it ain't no thang. He is also the mang for another connection that shall later be revealed by the poor bastard.

CS is The Mang. For he doth know evil cliffs all across the great land that is Alta. He also rips on teles to a psychotic extent.

Crinkle is The Mang. For he doth come prepared. Packed chains make for a proper decision. He doth also made a potentially awesome roadtrip a reality.

Ski Bum Z is The Poor Bastard. For he doth left for Pennsylvania and missed all the snow. He doth left his season pass behind. He doth left a room available for sleeping. Thanks a ton Z for letting me steal your life while you were away. It's a good one.

Turn clock back one year, trade Funken and Foggy for Crinkle and MD9, substitue the P-Dog couch for the Cliff and it's the exact same trip.

And guess who was there both times rolling solo from California?

Nicely written MD9, you forgot a couple though:

Altachic being the WoMang, for hooking a fellow up with a couch to surf only minutes from LCC. For hucking her meat for the first time in a couple years, and for some pig-tailed girlie sluttin.

Xover is The Mang, solely for a laugh as the lift kept stopping just before unloading him on Big Sunday, and we could hear him from 4 chairs back cackling: "bwaaaaaaahahahahaha, you'd best hurry up, the paintrain is coming, bwaaaaaahahahaha!!!"

The whole Alta Maggot Crew (Mr. Altagirl, Altagirl(in spirit, though it was good to see ya), Altoid, AltaPowderDaze, Altard, grizzle6, Altaholic, and even phUnk for his brief appearances, and whoever else I can't remember)are the Mangs for sharing their stomping grounds with the out-of-towners.

And I'd also like to nominate Dantheman as another Poor Bastard, who kept getting daily reports from Altachic as he was stuck doing homework in freaking Slotown.

Oh, and lastly, MD9 is The Mang, for his ridiculous love of jumping off rocks of all shapes and sizes, and even for poaching the line I showed him off Supreme, and for being the huge photoslut that he is (but we already knew that) so I could rest my weary legs.

    Noice!!!

While it pains me deeply to have to sit out on this kinda action... missing the fart basting chamber is not so much painful.

One night after skiing we all ate "vegetarian tear-jerker platters" at Famous Daves. (Ungodly amounts of meat covered in 5 kinds of BBQ sauce) (5 KINDS!!!) [/homer drool] When we got back to Powho's unholy things began to happen. Somebody ripped one. Another somebody said: "Who's baking brownies?" To which Powho replied: "I'm baking soup." That's right folks. Baking soup.

It was cool to see you hucking again after the knee surgery. That was a pretty big cliff. I saw a pic crinkle took and I think you'll be pleased. It's always fun to hang with the Alta crew. You guys all rule.

"uh oh, here comes the Party" was probably one of my favorites

AC, pics are up in the Pass the pow thread, you are a monster!!!

So much fun ripping so much pow with a good crew.

Meatdrink is the one that is entirely responsible for making this trip happen, I just happened to be an enabler. Putting evil thoughts in my head of leaving just to ski some pow.

Bum Z, thanks for the stickers

just for the record, I was too hot, not too cool. Too hot, as in, stuck in SoCal whilst you Meng killed it in Ootah. Actually, I had a very nice Turkey day with the fam, so I can't complain, but no, that was not me you saw on the slopes.
