Note: Keep in mind that on skis, my height is 6'7
Started this morning lackadaisicle. Last night I fell asleep in a coma of labatts and crown royal after playing our gig. The last thing that I heard was the pitter patter of rain which was a bummer.
I woke up this morning to snow blitzkreiging the hell out of the outside, my car had a good 6 inches on it, and I knew that if it had snowed instead of raining up on the pass that it was to be good.
I drove up first through a blizzard, then a monsoon. I kept my hopes up that the change in elevation would lead to snow. It did indeed.
Everything was covered in snow, and it didn't snow signs of stopping. I had no nuts for popping though.
anyhoo.
The first run led off the shelf where you are dropped off into a nice little run normally not hit due to it being tracked up/icehardpack.
This time you could just bomb down it, the snow kept on hitting me in the face and cascading over my shoulders and head. Every pillow landing was soft. Visibility was hard to see due to that durn snow cascading into the face.
Each run was better than the last, and tomorrow should be epic.
Best day so far, and it just started snowing again.
Of course this means that the BC is high on the avy scale for the next few days, so any maggots/people in this area be carefull.
