Damian and Stephen played locally the other night at our incredible venue that we can walk to. Good to see them together playing Bob tunes. Stephen is as close as it gets to hearing Bob live.
Only criticism is not bringing the bass and guitar players more forward on the stage. Maybe it's their choice, idk.

Went to see some music just for something to do, and saw a little outfit called Twisted Pine tonight, they were really good. Hard to describe. Flute, electric mandolin, violin and stand-up bass. Some bluegrassy stuff, some stuff that reminded me of Andrew Bird, a Zappa tune (peaches and Regalia), a George Jones tune (Take Me), the rest all originals. Never heard of them before but they are really talented. Check em out.

Went to Lady Gaga concert with my wife and daughter. She puts on a helluva show, it was impressive.

If Metallica plays The Sphere I may need to take a Vegas a trip.

    They are indeed awesome

"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

They were into it tonight, it was a great scene. Perfect night, big fun crowd. There was a long break before they came on and we wandered up to the stage and they came out, we ended up right in front. I'd post some pics if I knew how.

We went to see an old friend of my wife, Laura, play this week in SLC. Soon after arriving my wife went backstage and I was left nursing a beer and listening to the opening band play a song called "Pink Pony Club' and I was regretting everything in my life to this point. But Laura and her drummer put on a show and it turned out to be a great night.

My wife told me a crazy small world story of how her SIL quit her band, a band who then toured with mastadon, and my wife was working the Salt Air when Mastadon was in SLC and the wife was eager to see the new singer and saw it was the same old friend Laura who had ZERO connection to her SIL or the town the band was from - small world etc etc
