I've been playing with Mozilla Firefox and am starting to check out Maxthon which is supposed to be some good upgrades from IE. They both seem better than IE, more stable for sure.
Experiences? Thoughts...

Just started using Firefox this week....don't know why it took me so long to make the move from IE.
So far its great, a big improvement over IE. The pop-up blocker is great as are some of the other features like the built in google search bar. Super stable too.
FIREFOX RULEZ!
Screw the other ones. Open source is were its at!
I've only been using it for like 6 months, no problems at all.
Kinda miss ALL the poop -ups![]()

How can I make a favorites bar stay open in Firefox? I haven't figured that out yet.

i havent used maxthon, but i am a huge firefox fan. The extensions make the browser do damn near whatever you want, tabbed browsing rules, the 1.0 release is stable and fast.

All fez said; down side is that some pages do not display correctly, some Shockwave/Adobe plug ins are not up to IE snuff.
I first switched to the free version of Opera and love the tabbed browsing. Now I mostly use the regular Mozilla 1.7 including their email. Tabs aren't as automatic. Easier with Firefox?
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!
Yeah, I noticed that the plug ins aren't quite up to speed yet either. For the most part I think I like Firefox though. The Email program is okay but I haven't had time to work all the way through it yet.
another vote for mozilla, hooked it up a few months ago, I love the pop up protection, also a very good tool if you have dial up
just another ''big'' handle
security is THE reason to go firefox
Not only has it eliminated popups, it has eliminated spyware.
I used to have to do a weekly scan to keep my computer running in tip top shape, with firefox, I surf and forget.
For the reason of securty, I would avoid any IE based browser reagaurdless of what they did to try and fix it.
Kinda ironic that the mozilla foundation was started by AOL (A.KA. dark lord of internet evil)
