    Conditions in Whistler

Today was one of the icier, crappier days ever in Whistler. Wednesday it rained as high as the peak severely killing the snow. We have barely any snow below Wizard chair and bad start of the season. Stay away unless we get some serious snowfall, or bring your skates!

    Pray for snow!

Sounds like sleeping in was the right choice for me. The news called it "crunchy powder".
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

Aahh, crap. Thanks for the report though. I was gonna post this morning asking for details on the snow. Headed up for the first day on Sunday.

I guess it's a good thing I sharpened my edges a few weeks ago...

thanks for the warning squeaky, that sounds pretty ugly. I was planning to head up there this weekend, now I'm thinking I'll head on out to Big White. They just opened with a nice base and some fresh. Been nice and cool out there too.

It has been nice and warn in Big Whiteout too. It rained to 6000' on Wednesday. The temps have dropped with the clear skies so anything below 6000' (Big White) will be crunchy.
    You are what you eat.

There's no such thing as bad snow, just shitty skiers.

Uugh!! not exactly what I wanted to hear but thanks, that might changes things to no skiing at all, FAAACK. Oh well, my bud's up skiing at BW today so I'll hear it first hand what conditions are like heading into the cold weekend.
